Gérard Gonzalez

Gérard is not only is a guide but is also the owner of the Robidoux Lakes Outfitter and devotes his life to fly fishing.
He is a native of France and has lived many years in Gaspe where he obtained his Canadian nationality. He came to set up in Gaspe before all for the love of salmon fishing and its rivers. He is real passionate for fly fishing and if he has a day off, you will find him fishing for salmon or sea trout & trying new techniques which also often work. He has been fly fishing for 25 years now, prospecting and fishing the beautiful Gaspe rivers for 19 years. With his many years of practice and his permanence at the edge of the water, he permits a large number of fishermen to go from beginner to expert in addressing fly fishing of Atlantic salmon & of sea trout and to practice it like a sport and a real passion!

Jacky Gagnon

Native of New Richmond, he grew up on the border of Petite Cascapédia River and he started fly fishing very young.
He possesses a very deep knowledge of all the rivers on which we fish and knows all the secrets. Moreover he has an exceptional talent for the handling of his boat, this makes him one of the best in his domain. His sense of observation permits him to identify the salmons & sea trout there or that the fishermen can’t see. The attention to detail, the respect and service brought to the guests and his passion for his work is a gage of his success. He will ensure you spend an excellent time by the waterfront in the presence of « Salmo Salar ».

David Caplan

The Cascapédia River is the domain of Dave, originally from Gesgapegiag, he guides for the society of Cascapédia on this beautiful river for 38 years and knows every corner either by canoe or wading, he will certainly find a fish. He is an excellent fly fisherman & shows his guests how to easily succeed in casting 21 meters (70 feet).
One day on the Cascapédia River in company with Dave will leave you with a memorable experience. Besides fishing with an aboriginal (Micmacs) guide, learning his culture adds to the adventure.
